Jacob & Co. Astronomia Sky
An extraordinary timepiece with a celestial panorama and a gravitational three-axis tourbillon.JACOB & CO ASTRONOMIA SKY 750.110.40.AA.SD.1NS
Jacob Arabo, founder of Jacob & Co, said, “As a sailor driven to the sea by the sky, I found my star: the astronomical sky.” Jacob & Co. draws inspiration from the astronomical town clock, which is true technical and aesthetic masterpiece.
In 2014, Jacob & Co has launched the astrogravity three-axis tourbillon. This year, it adds an unprecedented complication: a three-dimensional star display combined with an elliptical sky indicator and a 24-hour day and night display.
The celestial dial covers the inner surface of the astronomical watch case and completes one full rotation in a sidereal year - the actual time Earth takes one full rotation around the sun relative to a fixed star. The blue grade 5 titanium dial features 18K gold stars and applied and hand-engraved zodiac signs.Shopping replica watches
oval sky indicator
Above this celestial dial is the oval sky indicator, which shows the portion of the star visible from the northern hemisphere. The indicator makes one full rotation in a sidereal day. A sidereal day is the time it takes for the Earth to rotate once around its axis: 23.5640916 hours.
At the center of the satellite axis, a painted, hand-engraved titanium sphere spins on its own within a tinted semicircular sapphire, symbolizing the night.
Rotating around the watch are four satellite arms that circle the dial every 20 minutes, so when you look at the watch it never looks exactly the same. On one of the satellites is the three-axis gravitational tourbillon, which rotates every 60 seconds on one axis, every five minutes on the second, and revolves around the dial every 20 minutes. On the other satellite is the time (hours and minutes) subdial. Thanks to an ingenious differential gear system, the time display is always in the correct position as it rotates around the dial, in other words, the 12 is always up.high quality replica watch
On the third satellite is the orbital seconds hand, a skeletonized titanium wheel that rotates once in 60 seconds with the seconds hand, which also revolves around the dial every 20 minutes. On the fourth and final satellite is the patented “Jacob Cut” red moon, a spherical orange sapphire with 288 facets. The sapphire, the first of its kind in the modern jewelry industry, rotates on its axis every 60 seconds and around the dial every 20 minutes.
Jacob & Co. found a simple solution for the setting of this complicated timepiece. The Astronomia Sky has two bows and two wheels on the back for easy setup. One bow is used to set the time and day/night indicator (both based on 24-hour solar time), while the other bow is used to wind the mechanical movement. One of the wheels is used to set the sidereal hour and the other wheel is used to set the oval sky indicator.RICHARD MILLE RM35 Rafael Nadal
All these functions are powered by the hand-wound exclusive Jacob & Co Calibre JCAM11. The movement is 40 mm in diameter and contains 395 titanium components and 42 jewels. It beats at 21,600 vib/h and offers a 60-hour power reserve. The plywood and bridges are hand ground and polished.
The 47mm case is made of 18K rose gold with sapphire openings on both sides. Water-resistant to 30m, it features an 18K rose gold caseback.
The watch comes on an alligator leather strap with a folding clasp in 18K rose gold.replica watch Review
