Browns sign OT Brady Aiello heading into final practice

  • On Friday https://www.clevelandbrownsfanstore.com/58-Kareem_Hunt_Jersey , the Cleveland Browns announced that they signed OT Brady Aiello, an undrafted free agent out of Oregon. Aiello originally signed with the Minnesota Vikings this offseason, but was waived back on August 15.Aiello was Dane Brugler 25th-ranked offensive tackle in this year draft class, providing the following assessment of himAfter starting 10 games at left tackle as a freshman, he filled in at right tackle the next two seasons and then worked up and down the line as a senior, filling in where he was needed. Aiello is smooth in his set-up and reactions, bending his knees to keep his pad level low. However, he has shorter arms and too easily allows rushers into his framework, struggling to slow power. He blocks with an edge and keeps busy, but needs to better snatch and control the man in front of him instead of just pushing. Overall, Aiello was the sixth offensive lineman on one of college football best lines and although it wasn always pretty, he routinely got the job done and showed off his versatility doing it.The timing of the move is interesting, given that final roster cuts are due on Saturday, and the team could signed Aiello two weeks ago if they wanted him on the 53-man roster. My guess is that the team wants or needs an extra offensive tackle for some of the action they do at the stadium tonight perhaps with the third-teamers and he get a chance to stick around on the practice squad at best https://www.clevelandbrownsfanstore.com/35-Jarvis_Landry_Jersey .
